Frequently Asked Questions:

  • When is the deadline for nominations?
Nominations for TEDxGreenville 2012 are now closed, but we’re ready to start looking for 2013. So, nominations for TEDxGreenville never really “close,” they just keep on moving forward. Any time you find a worthy candidate, please make sure to submit their info here!
  • Do I have to know the person I want to nominate?
No, you don’t have to know your nominee. However, it would be helpful if you do know the person you nominate, since you may be able to make sure they are interested and available to present or perform on the date of the event. Plus, it would be very helpful if you knew their contact information so our team can get in touch with them.
  • What happens after I nominate a speaker or performer?
You’ll get an auto-response which lets you know that your nomination was received. Throughout the speaker and presenter selection process (which takes many months), our Program Team will get in touch with your nomination to ensure that they are interested and able to be part of the event, and to find out more about their prospective topic or performance.
  • How will I know if my nomination is selected?
Final speaker and performer selections are usually announced 4-6 weeks prior to the big event in March of each year. You can subscribe to our email list (using the form in the sidebar) to make sure you find out as soon as the announcement is made!
  • Can I nominate more than one person?
    Yes.
  • Can I nominate myself?
    Yes.
  • Are you a robot?
No, we are people (the robot quit due to work overload). We may even be your neighbor or co-worker, and we could use your help. Click here if you’d like to get more involved in the TEDxGreenville movement.
